Purley Stay in Premiership
Even though the team finished last in the Premiership for the 2013-14 season, the winners of both East One and West One declined promotion to the top division, preferring instead to to consolidate their position with an extra season in the lower division. Therefore Purley will be playing top level lacrosse again in 2014-15.
We Are Recruiting For A New Second Team
We are actively recruiting for our new second team, who will be in the East Three division for the 2014-15 season. Please contact our Chairman Andy Booth at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07766 513564 if you are interested - you'll be more than welcome!
Purley Players Make Wales Squad for World Championships
Congratulations to Purley Captain Dave Copple and Mylo Johnstone on making the Welsh squad for the World Championships in Denver in July.
The trip won't be cheap, so they would both be really grateful for any sponsorship. You can give to them directly via links on the Welsh Lacrosse Website:
Alternatively you can buy swanky Wales T-Shirts for £10 - email Dave Copple at email@example.com for details.
Training is open to all, and is every Tuesday at the club from 7pm to 9pm. Please note: the floodlit pitch is grass, so remember to bring boots.
Any questions please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Founded in 1906, Purley has a long tradition of success in Southern Lacrosse. With our recent move to the excellent facilities at Warlingham RFC we are within easy reach of London and the M25. We are looking to expand our senior and junior ranks, and we welcome players of all ages and abilities. For the 2014-15 season we will again be hosting a professional American coach, so come join us and learn from the best.
